This is one of my favorite paintings of Monica, and it still hangs on the wall in my studio.

I completed it while she was still alive, and I remember she was thrilled when it was used in the art book “Aphrodesia”.

A few years later, at the Austin World Horror Convention, Eraserhead Press asked if they could use it for the Piers Anthony book “The Sopaths’, that they were publishing.

Apparently, that book is rife with pedophilia implications and is not highly regarded.

The painting deserves more than that; it is the back cover painting on the signed and numbered hardcover of The Black Seas of Infinity in my Kickstarter campaign.

I’ve included the reference photo I based the painting on here, and here is a link to my campaign if you’d like to pick up a copy.

My late wife, Monica Henk, was often my reference for the paintings I used for magazines and novels.
