Pulp adventure magazines of those long-gone days!
Does anyone remember those old pulp magazines?
The Shadow, Doc Savage, and Weird Tales?
They were the hot thing on newsstands before comic books, and always featured heavily illustrated stories. The first Batman is a direct rip-off of a Shadow story, word by word and plot point by plot point.
They always drew in my wonder and attention as a kid, and I strive to replicate some of that feel in both my cosmic horror series and anthologies.
My new anthology, The Joke is on Mankind, should be out late next month. As usual, it features a slew of talented writers!

You can keep up with its release by joining my newsletter
