My last submission to Marvel comics, this was in about 1996 when I submitted to a round of comic companies (something i had been doing for years). Kitchen Sink liked my work and wanted to publish me but they went out of business. DC sent my stuff to their Paradox Press black and white division, who also agreed to publish me but also went out of business. Caliber Press and Eclipse had folded, and sent me letters saying so. Marvel comics, however, refused to look at my stuff unless I drew their characters. So this was the third page of a short I did for them feauting an utra-violent Captain America. Needless to say, it did not go well
