What is my perspective on Comic Book Art?

Back in the day when indie comics were blowing up, after the trendsetting debut of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I first envisioned debuting The Black Seas of Infinity as a graphic novel. Permuted Press and Kitchen Sink Press expressed interest in the first 3-page proposal but folded before we could proceed. I tried Caliber, Eclipse, and Mirage, but they also folded.

Drafting a new 3-page proposal, I interviewed with DC Comics. They were on the verge of bankruptcy, and only wanted me to draw their main characters. So I went with the illustrated novel format, which I’ve maintained ever since. Check out more of my art here
